Ms. Valsa George (President) & Mr. Kerry Van Allen (Vice President)

Our company leadership at GEC includes Ms. Valsa George and Mr. Kerry Van Allen. Valsa is the company President, and has served that position since 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, and worked at the University of Chicago for over 10 years in their research laboratory. Valsa worked with the City of Chicago Department of Economic Development for about 3 three years, focusing on bringing new Biomedical-based businesses to Chicago. Valsa has also been working as a Senior Real Estate Investment Advisor with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT, earning multiple awards as top 10 as well as number 1 sales agent in the State of Illinois. Valsa offers her high level of experience and professionalism to GEC, focusing primarily in the area of Marketing and Sales to the firm.

Kerry has been in the environmental consulting field for over 30 years, and is a licensed professional geologist. He has a bachelor’s degree in sciences, with a focus on Geology. Kerry is the Vice President of GEC, and offers his vast experience in the technical, managerial and financial aspects of the projects. Kerry has worked in numerous areas of the country on U.S. governmental projects, but has most of his expertise in the Chicago Metro area. He has significant experience in working with the IEPA, WDNR and IDEM for projects involving voluntary cleanup programs, UST projects, investigation and remediation.

Mr. Kerry Van Allen (President)

Kerry has been in the environmental consulting field for over 30 years, and is a licensed professional geologist. Kerry also served six years in the U.S. Air Force and Active Reserves, and is the majority owner of GEC. He has a bachelor’s degree in sciences, with a focus on Geology. Kerry is the President of GEC, and offers his vast experience in the technical, managerial and financial aspects of the projects. Kerry has provided professional services for both the private and governmental sectors, throughout several regions within the US. He has significant experience in obtaining environmental closure status or no further remediation designations with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WNDR), and Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) regulatory programs.

GEC environmental professionals include a variety of scientists with education backgrounds that include geology, environmental engineering, geography, GIS, natural & ecological sciences, and biochemistry.

Ms. Valsa George (Vice President)

Ms. Valsa George is the Marketing Director of Geo-Enviro Consultants Inc (GEC). Valsa has served that position since 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree along with completing post graduate studies in biochemistry. Valsa worked at the University of Chicago for over 10 years as a Research Biochemist, and authored over 13 medical research publications. Valsa also worked with the City of Chicago Department of Economic Development for 3 three years, focusing on bringing new biomedical-based businesses to Chicago. Valsa has also worked as a Senior Real Estate Investment Advisor for Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana commercial markets. Valsa earned multiple awards in the commercial real estate industry, and was chosen as one of the Top 2% across the country. Valsa offers a wealth of experience and professionalism to GEC leadership.
